Website technology training courses

We run a range of training courses designed to help small businesses understand web technologies, and to help them to run their business.

Our course subjects include:

It can be difficult to tell the difference between a fake email, and a genuine one. Scammers are becoming increasingly clever at using emails to fool people into falling for their scams.

In this course, we’ll teach you how to tell whether an email is trustworthy, or not. We’ll give you techniques to use over and over again in order to protect yourself.

Google Analytics provides extremely useful information about websites, but it can be hard to separate the good, from the unnecessary.

We’ll show you what you need to know: the essentials, the useful, and the ignorable.

We’ll show you how to set up timeframes, and generate downloadable reports.

Today’s website owner has an enormous choice of social media platforms to choose from. But how do you choose the best platforms for your business?

We’ll go through the platforms and what they’re good at, then work out which suit your business best!

Computer viruses are often introduced into company IT systems unwittingly, and most often by staff.

We will teach you and your staff how to avoid the critical mistakes which allow viruses access to critical systems.

WordPress is a fantastic content management system, and can be used to give you a great degree of control over your own website.

However, we find that many website owners are afraid of using WordPress, and that they’re not sure what they can and can’t do.

Our course will take you through WordPress, and inform you on exactly what you can and can’t do with it. You’ll also leave with a training guide for future reference.

Places on our courses are limited, so that we can devote time to help each attendee individually. There are a maximum of 8 delegates on each course.

Each course will normally include:

  • A minimum of 3 hours of training
  • A training manual to take away, where appropriate
  • Refreshments – Coffee, Tea and Cake!
