The Steel Superstore is a nationwide retailer of steel guttering and rainwater products. It is the second website of this type for Cast Iron Superstore Limited, the parent company. We also created their other successful retail website: castironsuperstore.co.uk
Both websites are based on WordPress in combination with WooCommerce, and both take payments using Worldpay. Also of interest is the integration with the Xero accounting software. The direct integration allows payment to be taken by the website, then to automatically create invoices within Xero, making the client’s business easier to manage.
The website went live in late 2019, and begun taking orders in early January 2020. The client is very pleased with its early progress at the time of writing (late January 2020).
FreelancerHouse is a free services which enables freelancers to create a profile, and for recruiters to be able to contact them. It also encourages collaborative working.
Recruiters may register and view Freelancer’s details, then make initial contact through the site. They may also advertise details of projects or jobs which they have available. Freelancers can then apply online securely.
FreelancerHouse is a 100% bespoke development, built using a combination of PHP and MySQL. It employs our own customisable iUpdate content management system. I update is both customisable and scalable, providing a solid future-proof business software solution.
Knightsbridge required a tightly-integrated full eCommerce website for the public arm of their business, which enabled them to showcase their range of gentleman’s neckwear online. A targeted social media campaign was designed to bring traffic into the site, and to increase sales.
A recent upgrade to the site involved adapting their existing design to be mobile-friendly, thereby enabling their customers to browse and buy from their mobile devices.
The Relatives & Residents Association is a national charity for older people in or needing care and the relatives and friends who help them cope.
They needed a modern, mobile-friendly website to pass a vast amount of information onto their users. The website was built using WordPress to allow the RelRes team of volunteers and staff to keep the information up-to-date themselves.
Note: The graphic design of the site was produced by a third-party designer. The build and data-structure was completed by ourselves.
The Partnership is a public-sector organisation for York, responsible for delivering community safety projects in the area. They are also instrumental in disseminating information about local services out the the general public.
We were proud to be asked to work on this project with the Partnership, and the City of York Council.
Superskills exist in a fast-moving educational environment for adults and school-leavers. Their course offerings change regularly, and they required the ability to update the website regularly, adding new courses quickly and easily.
The owner and his staff are tech-savvy, and regularly monitor their advertising campaigns and the effect on traffic and sales from the website.
The YGC needed a website which satisfied three distinct stakeholder groups: a) members of the club, b) members of the public, and c) staff and administrators of the club. Each group wanted different information and functionality from the website.
We implemented a WordPress-based solution which provided information about gliding and the club to the general public, and provided the members with club information, a forum and a club-specific social network for communication between members.. Staff and Administrators are also able to review and edit the website regularly, as well as moderate the membership forums and other discussion boards.
